This is a typeface poster for the font Dalliance by Frank Heine. This font comprises of a font family of 4. In this poster all four are displayed (dalliance roman, dalliance script, dalliance script display, and dalliance flourishes). For this project I chose to reflect on the typefaces history of being inspired by the 1700's and handwriting. As a result, I created a replica of a newspaper, demonstrating different uses for the font family.
I struggles to take the idea less literally in the way that I chose dull colors, and used a small font size for the date. In remembering that this is a poster, I would have made the FH initials in a color, and made the edges of the paper look old and ripped. I also could have used more of a tan color.
I do love the layout of the final draft for this project because I feel as though I genuinely nailed the look of a newspaper.
